I am a British documentary filmmaker and cinematographer. I grew up in the liberal, artistic city of Brighton and have been living in Tokyo since 2019. I am bilingual in Japanese.

I originally trained as a photographer at UAL: London College of Communications, but quickly moved into working with the moving image. I went on to earn a first-class MA in Visual Anthropology at Goldsmiths University, during which time I honed my sensibilities as a filmmaker alongside the theoretical and ethical concerns of ethnographic fieldwork.

Aside from my film making practice I also work as a camera assistant, primarily on commercial sets for global brands such as Vans and American Express. In late 2025 I was the 1st AC for the 2nd Unit of Sundance nominated feature Ha-chan, Shake Your Booty!

Whatever the situation, I strive to make images that are not only aesthetically pleasing, but also share an intellectual and emotional curiosity for their subject.

Let's make something special together!
